Tobias Hug aka BFG -- 1976-2020

2020 started with a huge loss to us and the vocal world with a true friend and founding member of The Beatbox Collective Tobias Hug passing away in January. With his spirit, legacies, dreams and memories living on through us all, it was only natural we had our first show at a festival he introduced us to in Luxembourg City for Festival A CAPE’lla, who dedicated the entire festival in Tobi's memory. We were welcomed in with a photo in the entrance of Tobi smiling and surrounded by voices sweeping around the hallways from some of the worlds finest Accapella groups (check out JukeVox!) warming up and filling the vast building with warm sounds.

These Acapella festivals were Tobi's introduction to this sector of the music world and we absolutely thrive around such vocal enthusiasts from joining jams, teaching beatbox and watching the world’s finest Acapella artists. This was a show to kick off the new decade but more importantly to remember a true gentleman, mentor and vocal wizard extraordinaire who shared and loved so much with so many. Tobias Hug.
